Dominion Energy Family Easter

1700 Hampton St
Richmond, VA
(804) 525-9000

Bring the whole family to Maymont on Saturday, April 8, for Dominion Energy Family Easter, one of Richmond’s favorite spring traditions! This year’s “eggs-travaganza” spreads out across the Carriage House Lawn and beyond, all the way to the Maymont Mansion, and is packed with activities, crafts and games, as well as live entertainment from local performance groups, plus Jonathan the Juggler and a live DJ Dance Zone. Learn about pollinators at the Planting Station, meet the Easter Bunny, or join in the Golden Egg Hunt presented by CoStar Group Builds, with prize drawings. Meet local helpers, mascots and heroes in an expanded Community Zone! The Maymont Mansion and The Robins Nature Center will be open, too!

Dominion Energy Family Easter is fun for all, especially for younger children. Admission is just $5 per person and includes 3 activity tickets for crafts and games. Entry is free for Maymont members and Museums for All participants. Advance reservations* are recommended, as there will be a limited number of admissions for either the morning (9am–12pm) or afternoon (12–3pm) session to ensure there are enough eggs and fun for everyone!

*Advance reservations may be made in person by visiting The Robins Nature Center or Stone Barn Welcome Center Fridays-Sundays, 10am-5pm. Museums for All participants may reserve free admission for themselves and up to 3 guests by presenting an EBT card.

Easter Parade on Monument Avenue

Richmond, VA
This Richmond Easter Day tradition is back after a three-year hiatus. If you don't know, on Easter afternoon people come out to Monument Avenue dressed in costume and their favorite outlandish hat! The creativity abounds. All kinds of hats with no limits. The avenue will be blocked off and there will be live entertainment and many food and craft booths. People usually bring a chair and just sit and watch the activities. It's fun and great for photographers looking for interesting people photographs. If you don't have plans for Easter afternoon, come on out!
