Your 2019 Guide to RVA Fireworks!

Happy 4th of July!

The Fourth is more than just fireworks and barbeques. It's a day celebrating the anniversary of our national independence and patriotic displays. Fun events are organized throughout the United States every year. 

Right here in Richmond, there are PLENTY of options to see fireworks and celebrate!


1. Kings Dominion

Kings Dominion is celebrating the final week of Grand Carnivale and Independence Day with free military admission and fireworks each night July 1st - July 7th. In honor of Independence Day, Kings Dominion is offering an additional extended fireworkds display at 10PM on July 4th. All active and retired military personnel, as well as veterans with honorable medical discharge can receive 2 free park admission tickets July1st - 7th. 

2. Rocketts Red Glare | July 3rd - 4th | 9PM

FREE 2-day festival with activities, vendors, music, food trucks, craft beer and a pro beach volleyball tournament hosted by EVP Tour. Festivities end with riverfront fireworks on July 4th at 9PM! 

3. Dogwood Dell | July 4th | 6:30PM

Free, family friendly day filled with music and fireworks! Pack a picnic and get there early for prime seating.

4. The Diamond | July 4th | 6:35PM

Enjoy the Flying Squirrels and Funnville as they celebrate Independence Day with a night of baseball and fireworks. After the game is one of the region's largest fireworks shows! Gates open at 5PM.

5. Dorey Park | July 4th | 4 - 10PM

Enjoy live entertainment, food trucks, a Family FunZone full of games and activities. At 8PM, there will be a concert by the Richmond Symphony with a fireworks grand finale!

6. Chesterfield County Fairgrounds | July 4th | 5PM

Activity area for children, food vendors and special entertainment. Gates open at 5PM and the fireworks begin at dark. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy the night that's fun for everyone!

7. Hopewell | June 29th | 9:30PM

The Hopewell Recreation and Parks Department will host fireworks on the Appomattox River. Display can be viewed from the Hopewell City Marina, the John Randolph Medical Center rear parking lot, and City Park.

7. Fourth at Fort Lee | July 4th | 5 - 10PM

Celebrate your independence at Fort Lee's annual Fourth at the Fort celebration! The event begins at 5pm at Williams Stadium on FOrt Lee with music, food, and the KidZone. This event is FREE and open to the public!
